Biography

 Ms. Susan Holden has been Chief Financial Officer of The Barbarian Group LLC since 2009. Ms. Holden has focused her professional career on entertainment and media companies. She joined The Barbarian Group in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer and continues to consult for Swarovski. She began her career in New York with the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. She went on to be Controller for Paramount Pictures International in Amsterdam where she headed the Paramount offices in France, Germany, Italy and Holland and then Vice President/Controller at Price Communications Corporation. At Curious Pictures, she served as Managing Partner, Executive Producer and Chief Financial Officer. She executive produced over 1500 TV commercials as well as hundreds of hours of animated television programming. On the feature film front, she produced Passage, a short film from Swarovski Entertainment directed by Oscar nominee Shekhar Kapur (Elizabeth) with music by Oscar winner AR Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) and starring Julia Stiles. She also ran Curious Toys where her designs for the construction toy Bonz garnered many industry awards including Parenting Magazine's Toy of the Year. While at Curious, she also served as Chief Financial Officer of sister companies Chelsea Pictures and advertising boutique DCODE. She realized her life-long dream to produce an animated Christmas special in 2008 with the NBC premiere of Little Spirit: Christmas in New York, featuring the voice of Danny DeVito and the music of Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), which she also co-directed. Ms. Holden sits on the boards of the Hudson Stage Company and the Yale Tomorrow $3.5 billion campaign. She is also a member of the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. She was twice nominated for an Emmy for Best Children's Animated Program for Little Einsteins on the Disney Channel. Ms. Holden has a Masters from New York University's Stern School of Business and a BA in Economics and Chinese Studies from Yale, where she was captain of the Yale Football cheerleaders. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
