Mark Coomes

Biography

Mark Coomes brings nearly 20 years of experience to his role as The Doe Run Company’s vice president of human resources and community relations. Coomes guides Doe Run’s strategic talent management programs to attract and build a skilled workforce to meet the growing global demand for minerals and metals. He also manages the company’s efforts to continuously improve internal and external communications by responding to workforce, customer and community needs. Coomes previously held several positions at industry-leading companies, including Energizer Holdings Inc. and The Pepsi Bottling Group Inc. where he was responsible for organizational design and development, and helped re-align both companies in order to meet market dynamics. Coomes holds a bachelor’s degree in American history from the United States Military Academy (West Point) and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis
