Biography
Sharon Gietl joined Doe Run in 2004 and guides the planning, implementation and management of the company’s information technology systems, enterprise project management office and enterprise content management. Gietl is one of the 2011 St. Louis Business Journal’s 25 Most Influential Business Women, a 2010 Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader and a 2009 Strathmore’s Who’s Who recipient. She oversees a team that has been recognized as one of the Top Technology Innovators across America in 2011 and in 2012 (according to Information Week 500). Prior to joining Doe Run, Gietl served as the Director of Information Services for Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis, and Director of Administration for Petrolite Corporation. Gietl has also held various positions with Caterpillar Inc. and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Gietl received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biology from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa (previously Clarke College).
