Marcus R. White

Biography

Marcus directs The Excalibur Group with a passion for mentoring; he has motivated and led hundreds of talented professionals to well-matched careers. As founder and president of Excalibur, he has nearly two-decades IT experience supporting clients such as the National Cancer Institute and U.S. EPA. Marcus has provided network administration to user networks from 5 – 5,000 professionals. He has led help desk centers and their response teams with award winning results. His experience includes establishing project expectations for local system administrators and division heads within the National Cancer Institute. He has developed communications materials and conducted research and analysis for EPA Regions 3, 8, and 10, as well as acted as liaison between regional and pilot contacts and the EPA client. Leading his company since 2006, Excalibur has expanded beyond the scope of legal to other professional industries including administrative and IT. Marcus has identified and acquired new business, and managed all aspects of client needs including provision of personnel, follow-up and relationship management for medium to large-scale, short and long-term projects. Marcus has interviewed mentored and coached numerous professionals for permanent job placement. Marcus is an alumnus of the College of William and Mary where he made his mark as a fencer, achieving All-American status as a junior, he went on to compete with the U.S. World Cup team in 2001 and 2002. Marcus is committed to local and small business efforts and participates in chamber and SBA initiatives.
