Biography
Anna Sundborger, an expert in Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Cell Biology, is the Assistant Professor and Section Leader for the Cryo-EM and Molecular Cell Biology Section at The Hormel Institute. Prior to coming to the The Hormel Institute, Anna Sundborger worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
Research Interest
Cryo-EM and 3D reconstruction of protein complexes involved in intracellular membrane trafficking pathways. Membrane remodeling in innate immunity and cancer. The role of BAR proteins in autophagy and apoptosis. Molecular mechanisms of anti- viral and anti-bacterial activities of membrane remodeling proteins.
