Biography
Rabbi Marcus Mordecai Schwartz currently serves as director of the Beit Midrash at JTS. In that role, he also heads the Nishma summer program. In addition, Rabbi Schwartz is an assistant professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at JTS and the research coordinator for the Center for Pastoral Education at JTS. He is a past recipient of the prestigious Professor Saul Lieberman and Dr. Judith Berlin Lieberman Graduate Fellowships in Talmudic Studies. He is also an alumnus of the University of Nebraska.
