Biography
Dr. Aylward is a 1985 graduate of the New England College of Optometry. He completed a residency in ocular disease at the Brockton VA Medical Center in 1986 under the directorship of Dr. Barry M. Fisch. Following his residency, he joined the staff of the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA. He returned to Massachusetts in 1993 to become the Chief of Optometry at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Worcester, MA. More recently, Dr. Aylward joined the Boston VA Healthcare System where he is currently an attending optometrist at the Brockton and West Roxbury campuses. He has been involved in the clinical education of both students and residents for over 25 years.
