Biography
Dr. Jonah W. Jurss is Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry at The University of Mississippi. He has done his B.S. Chemistry with Honors from North Carolina State University, Ph.D. Inorganic Chemistry from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Postdoctoral Research Associate in University of California, Berkeley. His current research focuses on developing and understanding new earth-abundant catalysts for energy conversion chemistry and the selective functionalization of hydrocarbons.
Research Interest
Solar energy conversion, artificial photosynthesis (H2O oxidation, CO2 reduction), surface attachment, catalysis, mechanistic studies.
