Biography
David Brown currently teaches the educational technology and science methods courses at TU. During summer months, he conducts GIS academies for 4th through 9th grade students and teachers. Two recently funded grants (providing over $300,000 in total funding) allow students and teachers to attend the academies at no cost to participants. Brown spent 12 years as a high school science teacher providing him with a unique understanding of secondary school culture and expertise in teaching science. He also works with faculty in Geosciences, Chemistry and other physical science departments on campus on conducting science academies for teachers (SENSE-sational Science for Teachers) and students (Computer Science Academies for Students).
