Biography
Elena Doshlygina uses the affective-semantic approach in teaching Russian. The affective-semantic approach focuses on the integrated wholeness of the psychological processes which condition speech behavior. This methodology is designed to unleash reserve capacities residing in the personality and to utilize the affective aspects of language learning. Her philosophy of teaching has been implemented in Anne S. Woolslayer Russian studies classroom, which was designed and set to ensure effective learning and teaching. In a stress-free environment students learn 5-10 times faster, not even knowing about it.
