Biography
Lara Foley oversees the university's study abroad and exchange programs, education abroad policies, and the integration of education abroad into the undergraduate curriculum. She also directs the TU Global Scholars program. For the Global Scholars program, Dr. Foley co-teaches "Global Challenges" and a summer study abroad course in Berlin and Budapest titled "Sustainability and Urban Development." She previously co-directed a study abroad course in Ghana titled "Responding to Interpersonal, Intercultural and Historical Violence." Foley's research has been in the areas of gender, medicine and law. She is the co-author of Gendering Bodies published by Rowman and Littlefield. She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Sociology with a graduate certificate in Gender Studies from the University of Florida.
