Biography
Michael Wright is the Director of the Interdisciplinary Program in Creative Writing, focusing on performance writing for stage, screen and other media. He is the author of Playwriting in Process, Playwriting Master Class and Sensory Writing for Stage and Screen (all Focusing Publishing). He is a published/produced creator of plays for stage and radio, writer of short stories and poetry, and a spoken word and visual artist. He is the founder and moderator of the Fictional Characters Writers Collective and serves on the Board of Directors for Circle Cinema. Wright has received awards for his work as a teacher of playwriting from the Association for Theatre in Higher Education and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
