Biography
Dr. Paulo Tan is passionately committed to equity and social justice for individuals with disabilities. He is actively involved in supporting pre- and in-service teachers to lead safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environments. Prior to joining the University of Tulsa, he served as a Technical Assistance Coordinator and a Graduate Assistant for the Great Lakes Equity Center where he planned and coordinated network/outreach and center-hosted professional learning activities. Dr. Tan was a mathematics teacher in the public schools in Kansas and Indiana for ten years where supported students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as students with a range of dis/abilities and English Language Learners in inclusive mathematics classrooms.

Inclusive mathematics education, teacher learning, equity, and social justice.
