Biography
Michael Herdlick currently serves as the Dean of Students and Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Tiffin University. Mike has been with TU since 2001 serving in a number of capacities including Adjunct Professor, Instructor of Mathematics, Director of Institutional Research, and now in his current roles. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Liberal Arts from Malone University in Canton, Ohio, and his Master of Science in Mathematics from New Mexico Tech in Socorro, New Mexico. He also holds Graduate Certificates in Institutional Research from Florida State University and in Student Affairs/Higher Education Administration from Colorado State University. Mike lives in Tiffin with his wife Deidre, who is the Director of Human Resources here at TU and a proud alum, and their daughter Maddy, a Senior at Columbian High School and their son Sawyer, a Freshman at Columbian. For Dean Herdlick, “This has been and continues to be the greatest experience of my professional life. I view my role as the chief advocate for our students and someone that can hopefully mentor and guide them through their transformation at Tiffin University. My departments include but we all work very closely at our institution with the departments as we strive to provide an enriching and inclusive family atmosphere.”
