Biography
Fran Hoey is a principal and the business line leader who oversees our land use and transportation efforts. Committed to the success of his clients, he brings nearly 30 years of experience to our civil engineering group. Fran has specialized expertise in structural and geotechnical engineering, and holds professional registrations in two disciplines, civil and structural. He also is a strong advocate of low impact and sustainable design. In addition to sitting on Tighe & Bond’s Board of Directors, Fran is also a Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors of the Environmental Business Council (EBC) of New England. He has served as Commissioner of Holyoke Gas & Electric for nearly two decades, and is currently Chairman of the Board. Fran is also a member of an Urban Land Institute regional satellite committee. In addition, he was invited by Secretary Sullivan to serve on the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act Adaptation Advisory Committee to advise the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs on how to address the potential impacts of climate change.
