Biography
Oggie Ivanov is Director of Engineering at TMRU and leads the engineering department in providing advanced development solutions for Toshiba’s medical imaging systems. He has worked in the field of electronic systems development for over 26 years (11 years in medical imaging). Received M.S. in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1989. Following graduation, he worked as an engineer holding positions in hardware, software and project management. His industry experience covers industrial automation, robotic systems, telecommunication, ASIC design, as well as medical imaging in successful product realization. Oggie worked for Siemens, Westinghouse, Westell and Avnet ASIC Design Services. He joined BIR in 2005 as principal engineer and was promoted to FPGA and ASIC manager in 2007. In this capacity he delivered successful designs for AquilionOne, following generations of CT, PET, and XR. Oggie was promoted to Senior Manager Electronic Systems Engineering and recently to Director, Engineering. Oggie has been awarded 3 patents and 1 is currently pending approval.
