Michael Laymon

Biography

 Michael S. Laymon is Professor, full-time Faculty, and Director of the School of Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada. Throughout his career, Dr. Laymon has worked in numerous areas of physical rehabilitation, with particular emphasis on musculoskeletal and cardiac rehabilitation. He has established a number of physical therapy and sports rehabilitation centers and has authored or coauthored an extensive list of publications in journals including The Journal of Neurological and Orthopaedic Surgery, Journal of Clinical Densitometry, and Journal of Anatomy and Physiology.

Research Interest

 The effects of opioid medications and OTC performance enhancers (energy drinks, nutrapseudicals, and botanicals) on physiological systems (reflex and neurological feedback loops, respiratory compensation mechanisms, peripheral blood flow, gait and balance) on homosapiens.Development of teaching curriculum for musculoskeletal imaging ultrasound.
