Biography
Hani M. Babiker, M.D., is a drug development scholar and a medical oncologist and hematologist at the Virginia G Piper Cancer Center Clinical Trials/HonorHealth Research Institute. Dr. Babiker also is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Clinical Translational Research Division at TGen. He graduated with High Honors from Univerzita Komenskeho (Slovak Republic), and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in geriatrics and gerontology at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York Presbyterian Hospital (Queens and New York). He also completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Arizona where he also served as Chief Fellow in the Hematology and Medical Oncology Division, Department of Medicine.Dr. Babiker is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medicine, Geriatrics, and Medical Oncology. He has published several abstracts and peer review manuscripts and has a passion for teaching and mentoring students and trainees.
Research Interest
Drug development and in the treatment of GI cancers with an emphasis on pancreatic and colon cancers, developing new biomarkers and targeted therapy in pancreatic cancer.
