Translational Genomics Research Institute
United States of America
Biography
Dr. Liang received a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences (computational biology option) from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2002, and graduated from Arizona State University's Molecular & Cellular Biology doctoral program in the School of Life Sciences in 2007. Dr. Liang was previously a post-doctoral fellow in TGen's Neurogenomics Division in the lab of Dr. Kendall Jensen. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Liang has continued Alzheimer's disease research stemming from her graduate and post-doctoral work. Dr. Liang is an Assistant Professor in the Integrated Cancer Genomics and Neurogenomics Divisions and also acts as the Director of the Collaborative Sequencing Center (CSC) at TGen. In 2010, Dr. Liang led the creation of the CSC which acts as TGen's primary next generation sequencing resource.
