Biography
James R. Tobin is the Chairman of TransMedics’ Board. He is the retired President and CEO of Boston Scientific Corporation, one of the world’s ten largest medical device companies, where he served from 1999 to 2009. Prior to this, Mr. Tobin was President and CEO of Biogen, and, from 1994 to 1997, its President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Tobin spent the previous 22 years with Baxter, rising from Financial Analyst to President and Chief Operating Officer. He currently serves as a director of Curis and one other privately held company. Mr. Tobin joined the TransMedics Board in 2011.
