Biography
Dr. Melissa has completed her Ph.D. in Louisiana State University in 1991, M.A. in Louisiana State University in 1986 and B.A. in Georgetown College in 1983. She is the member of American Studies Association, Edith Wharton Society, Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Association for Teachers of History, Organization of American Historians, Southern Historical Association, Southern Association for Women Historians (Mentoring Committee).
