Biography
The purpose of teaching is not to regurgitate the class readings. It is important to integrate the assigned reading with real life as much as possible. Classroom discussion is where most of students' learning takes place. Challenging students to think critically and evaluate materials/articles they have read is the force behind learning. My teaching style entails many different pedagogical techniques, which include multimodal learning, technological usage, real-world applications to theoretical concepts, and an ever present focus on diversity.
