Biography
Everyone can learn math. While no two people learn it at the same pace, anyone can learn the math content. I firmly believe there are no "lost causes" or students who "cannot learn the material." While there may be students who need more background information and have more blanks to fill in as far as "a priori knowledge," everyone can reach the same end point. Math courses always have an end destination with varied travel times for participants. I will get everyone to the same destination, it just may be at very different times. I try to make math relevant and enjoyable for my students and give them a comfortable, nonthreatening environment in which they can learn with their peers. I strive to teach with multiple learning styles in mind and to make sure all students are able to access the material in their own way.
