Biography

Robert J. McDonough, also known as Bob, has been the President of UTC Climate, Controls & Security Systems at United Technologies Corporation since September 2015. Mr. McDonough served as Chief Operating Officer of Americas - Utc Building & Industrial Systems at United Technologies Corporation until September 2015. He serves as Chief Operating Officer of Americas at BIS. He joined UTC in 2007. He served as President of Americas - Utc Climate, Controls & Security United Technologies Corporation and served as its President of Residential & Light Commercial Systems (RLCS) - North America at Carrier Corporation, since August 27, 2007. He has 26 years of general management, sales and marketing experience. Most recently, he served as President, RLCS Distribution and Aftermarket. Before joining Carrier, he spent 16 years with Lennox International, Inc., where he served as an Executive Vice President from 2001 to October 2006. He served at Axcelis Technologies Inc. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Worldwide Heating and Cooling of Lennox International, Inc. from July 2003 to October 2006. He served as President of Worldwide Refrigeration and Global Operations of Lennox International, Inc. since 2001. He assumed the responsibility for World Wide Refrigeration, World Wide Heat Transfer and European, Latin American and Asia Pacific operations. Previously, he served as an Executive Vice President of Lennox Global Ltd., and President of Worldwide Commercial Refrigeration of European and Latin American Operations. He joined Heatcraft Inc. in 1990, where he held the positions of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Director of Sales and Marketing and Vice President and General Manager. Prior to that, Mr. McDonough served at Larkin Coils Inc. from 1982 to 1990, where he held engineering, product management and sales management positions.
