Biography
Charles D. Gill, Jr. has been an Executive Vice President at United Technologies Corporation since November 5, 2015 and its General Counsel since April 2007. Mr. Gill served as Senior Vice President of United Technologies Corporation from April 2007 to November 5, 2015. Mr. Gill served as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Carrier Corporation from April 2005 to 2007.Previously, he served as Secretary and Vice President of UTC. He joined United Technologies Corp. in 1994. He served as Vice President of Legal Affairs of Carrier's Asia Pacific Operations, based in Singapore and Sydney, Australia. He served as an Executive Assistant of Chief Executive Officer of United Technologies Corp. from October 2002 to April 2005. He worked in the legal departments of both Carrier and Pratt & Whitney. He worked for the law firm of Robinson & Cole. He clerked for Justice Robert D. Glass on the Connecticut Supreme Court. He serves as also Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sea Research Foundation. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar and is a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation. Mr. Gill earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.
