Biography

Sir Magdi H. Yacoub, M.D., F.R.S. is British Heart Foundation Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Imperial College London, at Royal Brompton, UK. Sir. Yacoub served as a Director of Transmedics, Inc. since November 2004. He serves as a Trustee of Dar Al Fouad Hospital. He served as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at NanoCor Therapeutics, Inc. and serves as Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at United Therapeutics Corporation. Sir Yacoub is a Founder and Director of Research of Magdi Yacoub Institute, Heart Science Center, Harefield, UK. Sir Yacoub holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cairo.
