Biography
Dr. Waldemar A. Carlo, M.D. has been a Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Division of Neonatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical School since 1991. Dr. Carlo has been a Director of MEDNAX, Inc. (also known as Pediatrix Medical Group Inc.) since June 1999. He has been a Director of Newborn Nurseries at the University of Alabama Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Alabama since 1991. He participates as a member of several medical and professional organizations. He serves as Member of Scientific Advisory Committee of ParadigmHealth, Inc. He received numerous research awards and grants and has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally.
