Biography
Paul Battaglia is a Adjunct Instructor, He also teaches a seminar on Aural Architecture and has taught Generic Building Types and various architectural studios in the Millard Fillmore College. Paul is a Buffalo native who received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been in full-time architectural practice for 38 years working on many of the more significant historic projects in Buffalo. His award-winning work includes authorship of the Downtown Buffalo Strategic Plan (1998) which informed to a large degree the Buffalo:2002 planning effort. His projects include the Frank Lloyd Wright Rowing Boathouse, a conjectural design of the Yahara Boathouse, Kleinhans Music Hall Master Plan, Erie County Courts Facilities, Barton House renovations, Market Arcade, Roycroft Inn guest house, and the Greater Buffalo Savings Bank buildings.
Research Interest
His current research interests involve the sounds of social activity in restaurants and its ability to produce desirable and beneficial acoustic conditions for patrons.
