Biography
Bridget Rubenking is an assistant professor in the radio-television area of the Nicholson School of Communication. She researches dynamic emotional and cognitive processing of mediated content from an empirical, social science perspective. Recently, she’s investigated physiological and cognitive response patterns to disgust-eliciting entertainment media content and second screen viewing behavior. She has recently been published in the Journal of Communication, Motivation & Emotion, Media Psychology and was awarded the Broadcast Education Association’s New Faculty Research Grant in 2014. She received her Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2012. Her teaching interests include media and society, communication theory and quantitative research methods.
