Biography
John N. Malala is an associate professor who regularly teaches Computer-mediated Communication, Production of Interactive Multimedia Applications and Webcasting. He received his doctorate in informatics with a major in electronic imaging and media communication from the University of Bradford. Malala has a cross training in electronic communication, print media and computer science. He received a specialist degree in computer science education from the Florida Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in mass communication with a concentration in radio and television from Arkansas State University, a bachelor’s degree in communication with concentration in broadcast production technology from John Brown University, and an associate’s degree in public relations from John Brown University. Malala frequently presents research findings at scholarly and professional gatherings, both at the national and international arenas. He frequently chairs international conference tracks on management information systems, computer communication, organizational communication and political communication. He’s been published in international refereed proceedings and journals as the Business Research Journal and the Great Lakes Research Journal. He has collaborated with organizations such as the Institute for Simulation and Training, The Disney Institute, DigiTech Media Systems and World Music. Prior to coming to UCF, Malala was a full-time faculty member at Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach.
