Biography
Dr. Sharon Ternullo received her B.S. in Pharmacy degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed a 1- year internship at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee and afterward completed a residency in clinical pediatric pharmacy practice at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center also in Memphis.Dr. Ternullo has been a clinical pediatric pharmacy specialist and adjunct clinical instructor/assistant/associate professor of pharmacy at Medical College of Virginia, State University of New York at Buffalo, Albany College of Pharmacy, and St John Fisher College of Pharmacy. She has practiced in varied fields and the scope of her clinical experience includes pharmacy administration as the assistant director of pharmacy for clinical services at the University of Rochester, toxicology in three nationally certified poison centers, and ten years’ experience as a drug information specialist. The scope of her pediatric practice has included neonatology, nutritional support, critical care, and general pediatric practice. She worked at the National Lactation Study Center for 10 years addressing medication related lactation issues. In 2006, after becoming board certified in applied toxicology, she began consulting as an expert witness and became involved with several NIH smoking cessation projects, including one working with adolescents.
Research Interest
The scope of her pediatric practice has included neonatology, nutritional support, critical care, and general pediatric practice.
