Research Interest
Severe weather in the Tropics, heavy rain events from convective and mesoscale phenomena, hurricane intensity and genesis, and boundary layer inflow energetics to the hurricane eyewall. Primarily I use observations, especially aircraft, radar and GPS dropwindsondes. Have served as airborne mission scientist in a variety of experiments including CCOPE, CaPE, EMEX, TOGA-COARE and for several hurricane mission
