Research Interest
island effects on weather and climate over the Hawaiian islands and adjacent waters from data analyses; assimilation of unconventional data in the initial conditions of regional models; and high- resolution numerical modeling including summer trade-wind weather, high-wind and heavy-rainfall events, and regional climate.
