Biography
Rob Beynon earned his PhD at University of Wales in 1978. He began his career at the University of Liverpool and in 1993 was appointed to the Chair of Biochemistry at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He assumed his current position of Chair of Proteomics, University of Liverpool in 1999. He has authored over 290 papers with a GS H-index of 55. In particular, his research programmes are dedicated to the application of modern methods of protein analysis to problems in biology. He has won several prizes for teaching innovation and research, and in 2015 was elected as a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.
Research Interest
His main areas of research are in the areas of protein chemistry, proteomics, proteolysis, and proteolytic. In particular, his research programmes are dedicated to the application of modern methods of protein analysis to problems in biology.
