Biography
Dr. Jason W. Custer grew up in Catonsville, Maryland and works clinically in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. He is also the assistant residency program director for pediatrics and the Medical Director of the Pediatric ICU. After graduating from Duke University he returned home to Baltimore for medical school at the University of Maryland. He then completed residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins and returned to the University of Maryland as a faculty member in 2010. His research interests include expert and team cognition as well as PICU outcomes. He has taken on a leadership role in patient safety and quality improvement in the department of pediatrics and the hospital. He currently lives in Ellicott City with his wife and 3 daughters.
