Biography
Dr. Gulati joined the University of Maryland in 2004 as an academic hospitalist. She is a clinician educator- teaching medical students and residents with a particular focus on patient safety, cost effective care and resource utilization. She was awarded the Theodore E Woodward Faculty Prize in Medicine for Exemplary teaching and patient Care, University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr Gulati is currently, the Associate Chief Medical Officer at the University of Maryland Medical Center with a focus on promoting a high reliability organization, driving interdisciplinary strategy focused on safety excellence, developing innovative approaches to optimizing clinical outcomes and performance improvement. Additionally, she is very active with the Society of Hospital Medicine and American College of Physicians.
