Biography

Dr. Henn is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a sports medicine physician at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He is a team physician for the University of Maryland Terrapins. Dr. Henn's clinical focus is the care of the shoulder, knee, and ankle. He specializes in cartilage restoration and joint repair techniques. Dr. Henn offers a complete range of surgical services, including arthroscopy, ligament repair and reconstruction, tendon repair, tendon transfers, cartilage transplantation, osteochondral transplantation, osteotomies, and joint replacement. He has particular expertise in autologous chondrocyte implantation and complex reconstruction of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Henn has published numerous scientific papers on surgical outcomes, with a focus on patients' expectations and satisfaction. He is a Workers' Compensation specialist. The goal of Dr. Henn's ongoing research is to maximize treatment options and successful results for all patients. While at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Henn helped care for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Revolution. He also worked at the Brigham and Women's Hospital Cartilage Repair Center before to coming to Maryland.
