Biography
Stephen R. Lowe, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Lowe is presently serving as the Section Head of Interventional Radiology as well as the Program Director for the Interventional Radiology Program. Dr. Lowe is a board-certified interventional radiologist who has special interests in trauma, hepatobiliary interventions, GU interventions, and uterine fibroid embolization. He also has interests in percutaneous ablation procedures. Dr. Lowe is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Army where he spent much of his military career at Walter Reed. He joined the University of Maryland upon his retirement from the military in 2014. His last assignment was as a Section Chief of Interventional Radiology at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at Bethesda.
