Biography
Jay N. Cohn, M.D., is Professor of Medicine and served as Director of the Cardiovascular Division from 1974-1996. He was instrumental in initiating the subspecialty of heart failure and founded the Heart Failure Society of America, of which he served as its first president, and the Journal of Cardiac Failure, which he served as its first Editor in Chief.
Research Interest
His research has transitioned over the years from management of heart failure and severe cardiovascular diseases to an emphasis on early detection and preventive therapy through the Rasmussen Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention.
