Biography
Dr. Rupendra T. Shrestha is Asst. Professor of Medicine at the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota, focusing clinical care in Thyroid and General Endocrinology. He completed his residency in Danbury Hospital, CT and did research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He completed his fellowship in 2016 from University of Minnesota.
Research Interest
He is currently involved in several thyroid related research at the University of Minnesota. He is the Principal Investigator in Correlation between histological diagnosis and mutational testing of Thyroid Nodules. Dr. Shrestha is currently performing research in areas of improving diagnostic accuracy of thyroid FNA with use of molecular markers and various aspects of thyroid FNA.
