Biography
Dr. Gary C Yee is a Professor of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy practice, University of Nebraska Medical Center which is located in omaha,Nebraska,United States of America.Dr. Yee gives lectures in several team-taught courses, including Pharmacotherapy IV (PHPR 678), Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (PHSC 520), and other courses taught at UNMC. Dr. Yee is the primary instructor and course coordinator for Drug Literature Evaluation and Research Methods (PHPR 622), which is based on the principles of Evidence-Based Medicine. Finally, he serves as one of the course coordinators for the Professional Development course (PHPR 554), which introduces and develops professional and leadership skills necessary to work as part of an interprofessional health care team. Dr. Yee is one of the editors of Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach, a textbook used in most Colleges of Pharmacy.
Research Interest
Dr. Yee's primary research interests are in the clinical pharmacology of drugs used in patients with cancer, particularly those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Other areas of interest include cost-effectiveness analysis, pharmacogenomics, biologic therapy, and targeted therapies. He has published more than 100 research articles, reviews, or book chapters, and his research findings have been published in several prominent journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet.
