Biography

Dr. Timothy R. McGuire is an associate Professor of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy practice, University of Nebraska Medical Center which is located in omaha,Nebraska,United States of America. Dr. McGuire delivers lectures in several team taught courses, including anemia lectures in Pharmacotherapy I (PHPR 684) and oncology lectures in Pharmacotherapy III (PHPR 688). He also gives lectures on cancer chemotherapy for the graduate level course Biochemistry 880. Dr. McGuire serves as a preceptor for the Oncology clerkships.

Research Interest

Dr. McGuire's major interest is investigating the damaging effects of inflammatory cytokines after stem cell transplantation. He also has interest in public health research where it has been attempted to develop community pharmacies as sites for public health education and intervention. Dr. McGuire is a co-investigator in the antineoplastic pharmacology laboratory and has ongoing research investigating the optimal use of anti-cancer drugs in cancer patients.
