Biography
Cleborne Maddux is an Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he has taught courses in statistics, technology in education, and special education from 1988 to the present. He holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, and has been on the faculties of three other universities. He has specialized in online and hybrid teaching of courses in beginning and advanced statistics.
Research Interest
Maddux is an active researcher who has published many books and more than 100 articles in the areas of special education, counseling, and technology in education. He was named outstanding College of Education researcher at both the University of Nevada, Reno and previously, at Texas Tech University. In 2003, he received the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation Professor award in recognition of excellence in research and teaching. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Information Technology in Teacher Education. He is Research Editor for the journal Computers in the Schools.
