Biography
I am a museum anthropologist with 36 years of experience in a variety of curatorial and administrative positions. My museum experience includes appointments as Director of the White Hair Memorial- Osage Cultural Resource Center, Curator of Ethnology at the Science Museum of Minnesota, Senior Curator at the Gilcrease Museum, and Director of Chucalissa Museum. I currently serve as Curator of Ethnology at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. My teaching experience includes appointments as Adjunct Professor, MacAlester College, Research Associate Professor, University of Tulsa, Associate Professor, University of Memphis and Professor of Anthropology at the University of Oklahoma. My research, exhibition and publication efforts focus on the expressive culture of Native North America and emphasize community collaboration and materialist orientations.
