Biography
Stephen is a Research Scientist and has worked full time with the Oklahoma Geological Survey since January 2015. From August 2007 until December 2014, he was cross-appointed with the School of Geology and Geohysics. Currently, Stephen is a co-Principal Investigator of a 2-year, $1.8M-funded, Department of Energy - Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America grant. In collaboration with other OGS scientists and University of Oklahoma faculty, this project uses integrated geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, rock mechanics, and reservoir modeling to examine induced seismicity. Stephen is also involved with the development of a statewide fault database in collaboration with the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Agency (OIPA).
