Biography
Lea Fortmann’s teaching and research interests focus on environmental economics and international sustainable development. Prior to completing her PhD in the Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (AEDE) department at Ohio State, she received her MPA at the Evans School of Public Affairs with a focus on environmental policy.
Research Interest
Her previous research experience includes examining the impact of improved water sources on household time-use in rural Ethiopia and the effectiveness of community forest concessions on reducing deforestation in the Maya Biosphere Reserve in Guatemala. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia from 03’-05’ where she focused on rural aquaculture development.
