Afshan Ismat received her phD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University. Currently sheis working as an assistant professor in biology department of University of Saint Thomas Saint Paul. Her research interest includes Using the fruit fly as a model system to study the role of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in cell migration and tissue morphogenesis, The mechanisms of ECM restructuring by extracellular proteases.
