Biography
Captain Cory Polta is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Operations Flight Commander at the Air Force ROTC Detachment 410, University of Saint Thomas, Saint Paul, Minnesota. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, and training students from among fifteen universities and colleges for commissioning into the Air Force as second lieutenants.Capt Polta commissioned through AFROTC Detachment 410 at the University of Saint Thomas in May of 2012. He reported to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In August of 2013, he completed Fundamentals of Acquisition Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Returning from school, Capt Polta served as a software release manager and special projects officer for the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) program management office. Capt Polta oversaw cost, schedule, and technical performance parameters for $75M in software acquisition effort and managed multiple integrated product teams.
