Her research interest includes he role of monomeric GTPases in the regulation of cell attachment, migration, and proliferation, Genomic structure of mammalian gene promoters, Applying the tools of cell biology to questions in population biology. Her current projects include Effect of Rap1 proteins on cell proliferation and programmed cell death, Identification of promoter control regions of the human rap1A and rap1B genes, Using mitochondrial function to test fitness predictions of mating system alternatives in an invasive freshwater snail. "
