Biography
Colonel Madaus is the Professor of Aerospace Studies and Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 410, at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. He is responsible for recruiting, educating, and training students from among fifteen universities and colleges for commissioning into the Air Force as second lieutenants.Colonel Madaus was commissioned through AFROTC Detachment 400 at Michigan Technological University in October 1992. He has served with distinction in a wide variety of Civil Engineering, Planning, and Programming positions, including base-level, Major Command (MAJCOM), and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) assignments. A nationally-recognized engineering management expert, he has published multiple professional journal articles and has been an invited guest lecturer to both the National Academy of Science and the Federal Facility Council in Washington D.C.
